The abductions had happened all around the world. Prior to the day they came, many sightings had been reported from early in our history, but such reports were not taken seriously until later, and even then we really didn't know much about the world out there. We spent billions and so much resources to make contact with supposed setient beings of other worlds. All those research, all those data didn't prepare us for when they came. All the UFOs, all the studies, the movies made, none of them could have prepared us. We were caught with our pants down- we became victims of a superior race, although our ego would disagree.

So, we marshalled our resources, our weapons. Leaders came together, the Central Earth Council was formed with the head of government, simply known as the Earth Supreme. A new world was fostered, a terra nova. We tried, as much as we could, to prepare for another visit. It was all we could do at this time for we still hadn't figured out were they came from or how to go to them. We still kept our eyes on Mars and on the other earth-like planets we had discovered, but none of them held the answer we needed.

There were protests and riots, of course, as there always would be. The Earth Supreme tried as much as he could to bring about peace and order using every resource in his power. Our planet had now come under a totalitarian government and what choice did we have, really?

As a need to create a ready army, the Elite Soldiers were born, comprising of men and women from all over our planet. Scientist developed a special serum to give us greater strenghts, greater speed like our foes, heighteened senses and special weapons. But without knowing much about them, aside from what we saw when they came, there was little preparation we could muster. Our scientists theorised that they could be thousands of lightyears away from earth and we hadn't figured out how to travel at that speed, nor had we the means to do it. So, we prepared as much as we could for their next abductions, because there would be more. That much we knew!

Amidst the rain and the wind, a lightning and gliding on the wings of the lightning, a vehicle, an otherworldly vehicle so huge it couldn't be missed, with lights blinking like a million giant stars on its sides. Then there were noises, noises of men, women and children crying, shouting, running about; the honks and crashes of man-made vehicles.
