The Chronicles of an Elite Soldier

It was a dark, dark night. The rain drizzled endlessly. The wind was a raging storm that humbled trees in its fury. Amidst the rain and the wind, a lightning and gliding on the wings of the lightning, a vehicle, an otherworldly vehicle so huge it couldn't be missed, with lights blinking like a million giant stars on its sides. Then there were noises, noises of men, women and children crying, shouting, running about; the honks and crashes of man-made vehicles. People on the streets, on their knees, praying for mercy, for salvation, for a messiah to come.

The otherworldly vehicle landed, crushing buildings and infrastructures, accompanied by an earthquake, an earthquake that had never been experienced in the city. Beings of another world, of another existence, came out with weapons that were both deadly and scary looking. They wore helmets, the beings, they did. They were about seven feet in height, agile and athletic and very, very fast.

They rounded them up- the people- and took them on board their space-ship. Soon the earthlings were on a journey to a world they didn't know, a world they never imagined, never to return to the one they knew. So, it began, the war of worlds, to last for all ages- man vs alien.

It was at this time that the Central Earth Council was formed to rally all of earth under one government, one leader- the Earth Supreme, who came into power with the promise of liberation, of victory, of vengeance. An elite force was created with soldiers from all nations of the earth, all language, all race, all tribes. Some said, earth had never been this united. It was hard to imagine that had been possible, but faced with a common and perhaps greater enemy, man united and soon, we got it right. We discovered there was more to our world than we knew. More to the universe than we had explored.

It was at this time that I was born. Raised and trained to be an elite soldier- loyal, strong, fearless and very deadly. My duty is to my planet and to the people of earth.

The way I heard it, Pierro del Costa was the baddest and meanest gangster in Sicily. He had made his money running weapons to the local Mafias, crime lords and just about every one of the underworld folks you could think of. del Costa was a bad man.
