The Sleeper Agent

Image Credit: avopix.com, shutterstock.com Amy Gallagher was an ordinary enough teenager- or so she thought. She had been found by the Gallaghers when she was ten years old at an old, abandoned warehouse, huddled and shivering from the cold. Patricia Gallagher had fallen in love with those deep blue eyes and impressed on her husband of twenty years, Richard, to adopt the child. Eight years down the line, Amy had demonstrated all the promise she held. She was a model child, she excelled in her academics and in sports- especially gymnastics- she was up there with the 99 percentile. Her adoptive parent were super proud of her. At home, she did the chores, lending a hand here and there, helping in the kitchen, cleaning the house, gardening and even fixing up the appliances and machinery whenever they broke down. Amy wasn't that social though, but she had her fair share of friends, her circle of nerds and geeks. But because she was also a sports star, she hung out with the jo...

The Accidental Manslaughter

image source: colourbox.com He felt the knife as it sliced through his innards. He looked at her, horrified. She looked just as shocked as he was. He didn't belief she could actually do it. She didn't believe she would actually do it. She had plunged the knife into him without a second thought- in the heat of the argument. He still couldn't belief that he was dying. He felt himself fall forward to his knees. He clutched at his stomach, the blood flowing freely as he gasped for breath, the oxygen seeming to thin. She screamed, as hysteria found its way into her. Then she put her hand to her mouth to stiffle the scream. His eyes widens, the eyeballs seeming to diminish against the white background. Then, just like that, he gave up the ghost. She screamed even louder, screeching and sobbing and wailing and doing all kinds of panic dance. Then the idea struck her with a force that would've impressed even the biblical Samson. She scuttled, as fast as her wobbly le...

The Night Hunt

image source: dreamstime.com No one ever committed murder in Lagos; no! Not in the way the would-be-killer was planning to strike at his potential victim. The would-be-killer wore a black hooded sweatshirt on a pair of black jeans, blending with the night. He furiously chain-smoked cigarette at a corner on Broad street, Marina- dead of the night! He watched his potential victim, a lady in a grey suit and skirt, with a black handbag, as she crossed to the other side of the road, walking towards the nearest bus stop. He watched her from his position, trying to decide whether to do her or not. He followed her casually, glancing about nervously. At the last minute- and with a grunt- he changed his mind. Thing was, he hadn't done this sort of thing before- to take another man, or woman's- life. In reality- whatever that means- he was a banker with one of the top banks in Victoria Island. He had a pretty wife and smart little kids- 8 and 12, both of them, boys. He walked t...

The One Night Stand

Image
image source: dailymail.co.uk They had started out with dinner at a nice Italian restaurant in the city. She had worn a red dinner frock that matched the screaming red lipstick she had on. It was a big turn on for him. He in turn had worn a black tuxedo with a matching black shoe. Very sleek. From the beginning, it was clear  to both of them where the night was headed. The dinner- the dance afterwards, the talk- where all just a formality. As soon as they got to his apartment, they flung their clothes away and got right down to it. He grabbed her by the butt, she straddled him as they kissed and danced around the room with the sexual energy coursing through them. He managed, quite gracefully, to get them on the large master bed. He slathered her face with his tongue, kissing, grabbing. She moaned, aching her groin upwards to him. He kissed her lips, nibbled on her lower lip, kissed her long slender neck, then worked his way to her breasts. He cupped them, squeezed them, ...

Evade in High Speed

image source: aol.co.uk 11:15am Marina, Lagos The News chopper hovered over the skyline of Marina on Lagos Island taking on the mad scene playing itself out on the roads and streets below. There were about a dozen cop cars chasing down a lone Ferrari sports car. The driver of the Ferrari, a serial car-jacker and a brilliant stunts driver, took a hard right, accelerated and put further distance between himself and the police. He had just hijacked the car of a music celebrity on Tinubu square but unknown to him, the police were on patrol at the place, at the time. So, here he was, whipping through the streets of Lagos trying to evade the cops. He saw a cop car ahead with the intention to intercept him, he turned the Ferrari on a smooth 360 and went back the way he came. The cop car followed with more joining it. The Ferrari drove into an intersection, missed a Truck by a half inch, swerved quickly away from an oncoming vehicle, changed lane and floored his accelerator leaving ...
